Gwendolyne Krasnicki is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from Montréal, Canada, who began creating downtempo pop songs in 2011 under the name Galiya. Now pursuing a Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Film Scoring at l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), she continues to explore musical storytelling through collaboration and performances across a wide range of genres — from classical and folk-pop to metal — gradually shaping her signature sound: ethereal, chillsynth-inspired electronica. Her second album, Introspective EP, was released in January 2025.

Professionally, Gwendolyne holds a Bachelor of Music (2014) from the Université de Montréal, where she studied violin with Vladimir Landsman and performed in the university's baroque ensemble under Margaret Little and Luc Beauséjour. She previously studied violin and viola with Sylvie Allaire, and also trained in piano (with Ted Krasnicki and Jocelyne Lasalle), and classical voice (with Tamara Armstrong and Samara Garfinkle). A long-time member of the Orchestre philharmonique des musiciens de Montréal (OPMEM), she served as principal viola for several years.

Today, Gwendolyne teaches private piano and violin lessons in Montréal while continuing to record and perform with a wide variety of artists, bands, composers and ensembles. She has sung alto with the Choeur Métropolitain since 2009 and performed a soprano solo in Kouraj by Sydney Guillaume during the Choeur Métropolitain: Carmina Burana concert in June 2024. She plays violin in the metal band Uriel and performs on violin, viola and voice with SoulStation Orchestra for weddings, cocktails and special events.
